Communication Therapy helps children improve their speech, language, listening, and social communication skills. At SETU Child Development Centre, we provide personalized Communication Therapy that helps children communicate with confidence. Furthermore, our experienced therapists assess each child’s communication abilities and developmental needs. In addition, they create individualized therapy plans based on comprehensive assessments. As a result, we provide personalized support that strengthens every child’s communication skills. Therefore, children communicate more confidently and participate actively in daily activities at home, school, and in the community.

We use an Evidence-Based Therapy Approach.

Each child expresses himself or herself differently. As a result our therapists, before therapy begins, have identified each child’s strengths, challenges and development needs. We also employ evidence-based strategies and interesting activities to enhance clarity of speech and language, listening and social interaction. Additionally, our therapy sessions promote children’s confidence in talking with family, teacher and friends.

Children with speech and language delays, developmental delays, articulation difficulties, stammering, voice disorders, social communication difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are all supported through our services. In addition, we have a multi-disciplinary team who are very familiar with and collaborate with parents, teachers and health professionals, to give parents consistent support. Consequently, children are given coordinated care that supports continuity and ongoing development of their communication.

It is used at SETU Child Development Centre with scientifically proven methods and techniques appropriate to each child’s developmental needs and goals. Our therapists also use play, visual supports, interactive activities and communication exercises to make therapy fun and effective! So children develop their vocabulary, sentence construction, pronunciation, listening and speaking skills in a positive setting.

Partnering with Families

Parents play an essential role in a child’s communication development. Therefore, we involve families throughout every stage of therapy. We provide regular progress updates, practical home strategies, and guidance for everyday communication activities. Furthermore, we encourage parents to practice therapy techniques and reinforce communication goals at home. As a result, children continue to strengthen their communication skills beyond the therapy room. Consequently, they become more confident in everyday situations at home, school, and in the community.
