Occupational Therapy assists children in maximizing independent skills in physical, sensory, cognitive and daily living skills. OT at SETU Child Development Centre is individualised to meet each child’s individual needs. Additionally, our occupational therapists thoroughly evaluate a child’s strengths, struggles and functional abilities, to develop an individualized therapy plan. Children therefore receive help tailored to their needs that helps to make them more independent, confident and engaged in their daily lives.

Every child develops important life skills at their own pace. Therefore, our occupational therapists conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each child’s strengths, developmental needs, and therapy goals. Furthermore, we use evidence-based techniques and engaging activities to improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory processing, attention, balance, self-care abilities, and classroom readiness. In addition, our therapists create personalized therapy sessions that match each child’s individual abilities. As a result, children gain confidence while participating in activities at home, school, and in the community. Ultimately, our Occupational Therapy programs help children become more independent and achieve meaningful developmental progress.

Partnering with Parents

Our Occupational Therapy services support children with a wide range of developmental needs. These include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), developmental delays, learning difficulties, Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), motor coordination difficulties, cerebral palsy, handwriting difficulties, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Furthermore, our multidisciplinary team works closely with speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, special educators, and parents. In addition, we create consistent therapy strategies for home, school, and clinical settings. Moreover, we tailor every therapy plan to each child’s individual strengths and developmental goals.
